Dry cleaning

Suits, dresses, shirts, blouses, slacks and coats, cleaned with modern garment-safe processes and finished by hand. You are given a ready-by time at the counter when you drop off.

Every piece is inspected before it goes anywhere near a machine. Stains are flagged and pre-treated, missing buttons and loose trims noted, delicate fabrics separated out.

The right process is chosen per garment rather than per load: dry cleaning, wet cleaning or hand finishing, depending on what the fabric can take.

Shirt & laundry service

Hand-finished dress shirts, wash-and-fold laundry, and household linens. Tell us your starch level and whether you want them boxed or hung, and it goes on your record.

Shirts are pressed and inspected individually. Collars and cuffs are checked, and anything that comes back short of the mark is done again rather than sent out.

Wash-and-fold is by the bag. Linens, tablecloths and everyday laundry all come through the same shop.

Leather & suede

Leather jackets, suede coats and shearling cleaned, re-coloured and re-conditioned. The work that keeps a good coat looking like one.

Leather is not dry cleaning with a different label. It is cleaned, then re-oiled and re-coloured where the finish has worn, so the piece comes back supple rather than stiff.

Bring the belt and any matching pieces at the same time so the colour is matched across the set.

Wedding gown cleaning & preservation

A signature service for more than three decades. Hand-cleaned, inspected inch by inch, and packed into a museum-quality preservation box.

A gown is cleaned by hand and on its own, never batched. Beading, sequins, lace and hand embroidery are found at the first inspection and worked around individually.

Bring it in as soon as you can after the day. Sugar, wine and perfume oxidise into stains that are far harder to lift a year later, even when they are invisible now.

Household & down items

Down comforters and jackets, drapery, tablecloths and area rugs. The things that will not fit in a machine at home.

Down is cleaned and re-lofted rather than flattened, so a comforter comes back with its warmth intact.

Drapery is measured and handled so it rehangs properly. Bring the hardware measurements if you have them.

Not sure whether we handle it?

Ask. In thirty-five years the answer has almost always been yes. If it is no, we will tell you who does it properly rather than guess with your garment.
